IAS officer Rahul Bhandari’s father R R Bhandari passes away, last rites on March 30

Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab’s senior IAS officer Rahul Bhandari suffered a personal loss with the demise of his father, Advocate Ramesh Raj Bhandari, on March 27. A respected figure in the legal fraternity, Ramesh Raj Bhandari was also the father in law of senior IAS officer Rakhi Gupta Bhandari. His passing has left the family and well wishers in deep grief.

The last rites were performed at the crematorium near Durgiana Temple in Amritsar, where a large number of family members, friends and administrative officials gathered to pay their final respects to the departed soul.

According to the family, the bhog and final prayer ceremony will be held on March 30, 2026 from 12 noon to 1 pm at Guru Nanak Parkash Gurdwara in Amritsar.

Condolences have been pouring in from across administrative circles and civil society, with relatives, friends and well wishers expressing their grief and standing in solidarity with the Bhandari family during this difficult time.
