SAD’s Era of Intimidation Is Over; Punjab Will Not Allow Gangster Politics Again: Kuldeep Dhaliwal
Amritsar/Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): AAP Chief Spokesperson & MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today launched a blistering attack on SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal during a press conference in Amritsar, exposing his deep connections with gangsters and his continued reliance on intimidation politics.
Dhaliwal said Sukhbir Badal’s statements on Monday clearly reflect a gangster-like mindset, exposing his close relationship with criminal elements. “His language, tone and body language today resemble that of gangsters. This is not new, Sukhbir Badal has been using such language from 2007 to 2017 when the Akali Dal thrived on goonda politics,” Dhaliwal said.
Punjab Has Changed; Badal’s Intimidation Tactics Won’t Work Anymore: Dhaliwal
The AAP spokesperson said that Punjab’s political landscape has changed drastically. “Earlier, Akali Dal used to secure votes by threatening people. But today’s Punjab is different. People are aware, empowered, and no longer scared of such outdated tactics,” he said.
Dhaliwal asserted that Sukhbir Badal is again attempting to revive the same culture of fear, but the Mann Government will not allow any such dangerous trend to take root.
“Under CM Bhagwant Mann, no gangsterism will be tolerated. No one, not even a politician like Sukhbir Badal, will be allowed to disturb the peace of Punjab,” he said.
Akali Rule Responsible for Drugs and Gangsterism
Holding both Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Badal directly responsible for the rise of Punjab’s drug and gangster crisis, Dhaliwal said, “The Akali governments nurtured the drug network and encouraged gangsterism in Punjab. That is why people rejected them completely.”
Dhaliwal added that the Mann Government has made law and order its topmost priority, leading to a significant decline in criminal activities. “Today, police are free from political pressure. We are dismantling gangster networks and uprooting the drug trade. This clarity of purpose never existed under the Badals,” he said.
Concluding his address, Dhaliwal reiterated that AAP will never allow Punjab to go back to the dark days of intimidation, drugs and violence. “Sukhbir Badal may try to revive his old model of fear and criminal politics, but Punjab has moved forward. The Mann Government stands firm, peace, prosperity and law & order will be protected at all costs.
