School State Games Sundernagar: Yashovardhan Atri again became State Champion in Yogasana

Shimla (The Uttam Hindu): After a hat-trick of gold medals in a single season, now a five-time medal winner Yashovardhan Atri, a student of Him Academy, Hamirpur, became the state champion in the under-19 category by winning a gold medal in Yogasana at the School State Games held in Sunder Nagar. He will now represent Himachal at the SJFI National Games to be held in Kolkata. Along with winning a gold medal at the school games, Yashovardhan Atri achieved a hat-trick of gold medals in the 2025-2026 season, winning three gold medals in different competitions, two in the under-18 category and one in the under-19 category.

Furthermore, he also won three gold medals in the same season. Participated in three different events in P. Yogasana Sports Association, Bharat Yogasana Under-18 and won gold medals in all three, gold medal in Under-18 in Himachal Yoga Association, Yoga Federation of India, and now by winning gold medal in Yogasana in Under-19 category in School State Games held in Sunder Nagar, he has set a new record by winning five gold medals in one session in Yoga sports in the state by scoring a total of gold medals. Yashovardhan also attracted everyone's attention with his game in the 6th National Yoga Championship organized by Bharat Yogasana in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in the beginning of October itself and made a place in the best four by giving his best performance among the participants from 28 states in the Under-18 category and brought glory to the state.

Yashovardhan Atri, who has been practicing yoga for the last 6 years, won the bronze medal in the under-16 category in the 49th Sub Junior National Championship organized by the Yoga Federation of India last year and after that, he brought glory to the country by winning the bronze medal while representing the Indian team on behalf of the Yoga Federation of India in the 10th Asian Yogasana Sports Championship held in Singapore.
