Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Shiromani Akali Dal has announced a movement from September 1 against the land pooling policy of the Punjab government, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of land grabbing. Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has announced that the party will start a 'morcha' from September 1.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said in a press conference on Thursday that the government's policy is the biggest attack on the farmers and poor of Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain together have done land deals in Punjab for the builders of Delhi. A deal of about 30 thousand crores is planned." He also accused the Punjab Police of harassing the farmers and the poor. While warning the Punjab Police officers, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that it is your responsibility to protect the people of Punjab. If you do not fulfill your responsibility, action can be taken against you too. There are elections in the next one and a half years and times do not take much time to change.

The former deputy chief minister of Punjab announced that the Shiromani Akali Dal will launch a 'morcha' against non-Punjabi rulers under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal from September 1. He said the morcha will begin on August 31 by offering holy prayers at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and seeking blessings of Akal Purakh. A group of 500 Akalis from Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib in Mohali will march against Arvind Kejriwal at Sector 62 every day. On September 1, he himself will lead the first group after offering prayers at Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib.
