Six kilograms of heroin recovered in Firozpur, one arrested

Firozpur (The Uttam Hindu): In a major drug bust in Firozpur, the Punjab Police arrested one accused and recovered 6.038 kilograms of heroin after a week-long intelligence-based and technical operation.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Thursday that an FIR has been registered in this connection at Arifke police station. He added that further investigation is underway to trace the accused’s links and dismantle the entire drug supply chain.

Police officials stated that sustained intelligence inputs and technical surveillance led to the successful recovery. Efforts are ongoing to identify other individuals involved and prevent further drug trafficking activities in the region.
