Three-day educational council workshop of Vidya Bharati northern region concludes in Jalandhar

Jalandhar(The Uttam Hindu): A three-day workshop of the Educational Council of Vidya Bharati Northern Region was successfully concluded at the Vidya Bharati Punjab Provincial Office. A ​​report on the workshop was presented by Shri Ram Kumar.

On this occasion, Shri Deshraj Sharma, General Secretary of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, Shri Vijay Nadda, Organizing Secretary of Vidya Bharati Northern Region, Shri Rajendra Kumar, Organizing Secretary of Vidya Bharati Punjab, General Secretary Shri Sandeep Dhuvadiya, and representatives from all five provinces under the Northern Region were present.

Officers, educational in-charges, and principals from Jammu (11), Punjab (15), Himachal Pradesh (13), Haryana (12), and Delhi (14) were present. A total of 65 participants attended the workshop, including 26 women. The expected number of participants was 117. A total of 11 sessions were conducted over the three days.

In the concluding session, participants from various provinces shared their experiences. Radhika (Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh) shared her experiences. Kuldeep (Himachal Pradesh) said that the workshop provided clarity on the subjects and helped identify actionable tasks, which they will implement in their plans. Surendra Singh (Punjab) said that he learned new things and that such events should be held continuously. Sanjeev Kumar (Haryana) expressed his feelings through a poem. Utpal (Delhi, former student) appreciated the arrangements and said that Vidya Bharati's simplicity, ease, and unique working style were his first and a very positive experience. Dr. Shiksha Sharma (Jammu) also shared her views.

On this occasion, Shalini (Delhi) presented a solo song, "The country gives us everything, let us also learn to give something back," which was received with heartfelt appreciation by those present.

In the concluding session of the workshop, Shri Deshraj Sharma, General Secretary of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, while giving his guidance, said that some schools and provinces are doing excellent work, but the organization cannot achieve its goal based on the quality of only a few schools. He clarified that affordable, accessible, and quality education for all is the fundamental principle of Vidya Bharati. Excellent results should not be merely a characteristic of the school, but its very nature, as this is the school's primary function.

Mr. Sharma stated that everyone's role must be ensured in fulfilling the assigned responsibilities. We are not just an advisory committee, but an active think tank that must deliver results through action. A strong structure needs to be developed by involving qualified individuals, and plans and activities must be formulated with outcomes in mind. He placed special emphasis on innovation-based and classroom-centered work, developing a research-oriented approach to subjects, and a thorough study of the goals and the National Education Policy 2020.

He said that Vidya Bharati is not limited to books and curriculum, but works for the holistic development of the child. He expressed his complete confidence that the necessary qualitative changes are possible through the effective implementation of the plans.

At the end of the workshop, General Secretary Mr. Sandeep Dhuvadiya expressed his gratitude to all the guests, participants, and organizers.
