Tragic accident: Speeding car hits divider, 5 killed; two minor girls among the dead

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident took place in Ludhiana, Punjab, where a speeding car crashed into a divider, resulting in the death of five people. The incident occurred late Sunday night. Around 1 a.m., two ambulances brought the bodies to the civil hospital. The victims have not yet been identified.

Among the dead were two minor girls and three young men. All deceased are said to be residents of Jagraon, although their names have not been confirmed. According to information, a Verna car (registration PB10DH-4619) was heading from South City toward Ladowal. Due to overspeeding, the vehicle went out of control, hit the divider at Ladowal, overturned in the middle of the road, and was dragged for several meters. The impact was so severe that all five bodies were badly mutilated.

Upon receiving information, ASI Kashmir Singh from Ladowal police station reached the spot and immediately informed the NHAI ambulance. Emergency responders arrived quickly, removed the bodies from the car, and transferred them to the civil hospital. Police officials said efforts are underway to contact the families of the victims, and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
