Baltej Pannu further stated that the Centre has consistently discriminated against Punjab. “The Central Government has repeatedly treated Punjab with a step-motherly attitude and discriminated against the state. On crucial issues such as Punjab’s rights over Chandigarh and matters related to Panjab University, the Centre has always kept Punjab entangled,” Baltej Pannu stated. He appealed to the people of Punjab to raise these serious issues before Amit Shah and question him about them.
Recalling the devastation caused by floods, Baltej Pannu said that the compensation announced by the Prime Minister has still not reached Punjab. “During the floods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of Punjab and announced ₹1,600 crore as compensation for the losses, but unfortunately that amount has still not been released to Punjab,” Baltej Pannu said.
Taking on opposition leaders, Baltej Pannu said, “Sukhpal Singh Khaira has lost his mental balance.” He added that during the tenure of the Akali Dal government, drugs and gangsterism had reached alarming levels in Punjab, which caused immense damage to the state. “Today, under Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is removing the thorns sown by the Akali Dal and making efforts to restore Punjab to its vibrant glory as ‘Rangla Punjab’,” Baltej Pannu said.
Baltej Pannu also highlighted the positive response from industry towards Punjab’s investment initiatives. “The announcement of investment commitments worth ₹10,000 crore by leading industrialists on the very first day of the three-day Punjab Progressive Investors Summit-2026 in Mohali is a major achievement of the Mann Government and will further boost business activity in Punjab,” he stated.
