Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and National Media Incharge Anurag Dhanda said on Monday that the anguished cries of Haryana youth trapped in the Russia-Ukraine war have shaken the entire state. He said, "Hundreds of Haryana's sons are still trapped in the battlefield, where bullets are fired every day, bombs are falling, and death is looming. This voice isn't just Aman's, it's the cry of every Haryanavi mother."

A young man from Modanheri village in Hisar district cries in his video, "I was told I would get a job as a security guard, but after 10 days of training, I was sent straight to the border. Bombs are falling everywhere, people are dying, I could die at any time. Please get me out of here." Dhanda said that this video would shock anyone, but the Modi government and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini have remained silent.

Anurag Dhanda asked, "Can't Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar hear these voices? Are these the 'good days' when our unemployed sons join foreign armies and die while the Delhi government remains a mute spectator?" Launching a scathing attack on the Haryana government, he said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had promised to provide employment to the youth, but today the same youth, in search of jobs, are trapped by fraudulent agents and forced to fight Russia's war.

Anurag Dhanda said, “These agents are roaming every village in Haryana. Sometimes they promise language training, sometimes security guard jobs. And then, after taking thousands of rupees, they push these children into the abyss of death. These agents are roaming freely, and the Saini government is silent—is this the responsibility of the 'double-engine government'?

Dhanda said that dozens of young people from Haryana have been sent to Russia since 2024. According to the Ministry of External Affairs report, at least 12 Indians were killed by October 2025, and 85 are still trapped in the Russian army. These include young people from Hisar, Kaithal, Rohtak, Jind, and Bhiwani.

The body of 24-year-old Karmchand from Kaithal was returned wrapped in a Russian flag, while there is no trace of Aman from Hisar, and Poonia-Jangda from Rohtak are still trapped in the war zone.

Anurag Dhanda said that this is a gross failure not only of the Ministry of External Affairs, but also of the Haryana government. He said, “If there were employment opportunities in Haryana, no one would be able to send them to Russia.” A mother's son wouldn't have been lying in a pool of blood in the Russian snow today. Will the Saini government only wake up when a minister's son falls into this trap?

Dhanda said that the Aam Aadmi Party considers this pain a responsibility, not a political one. The government should enact strict laws against such fraudulent agents, and the Ministry of External Affairs should also be held accountable. Respectable employment should be ensured for Haryana's youth within the state, so that no mother's lap remains empty in the future, and no son is left at the mercy of merchants of death.

Finally, he said, "Haryana's sons are not fuel for any foreign war; they are the pride of this soil. If the Modi government and Nayab Singh Saini have any compassion left, they should take immediate action and bring these sons back to the country. Otherwise, the public will surely take account of these tears in the future. The Aam Aadmi Party will not remain silent until the last Haryanavi son returns home. This is not just a political issue; it is the demand of every mother."
