With a brilliant performance, Team India defeated Nepal by seven wickets in the final to win its first World Cup title. The Indian team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, not losing a single match, proving its superior performance.

In the final, India won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal scored 114 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
