New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on September 28th. The race for the board's president's post has now narrowed to a few prominent figures. The final voters' list, released on September 19th by Returning Officer AK Joti, includes four former cricketers and administrators.

Sourav Ganguly (Cricket Association of Bengal), Harbhajan Singh (Punjab Cricket Association), Raghuram Bhat (Karnataka State Cricket Association) and Jaydev Shah (Saurashtra Cricket Association) are considered frontrunners for the top post. Their presence has further strengthened the demand for cricketer-administrators to lead the world's richest cricket body.

Former Indian wicketkeeper and former national selector Kiran More has added a new twist. He is currently the secretary of the Baroda Cricket Association. However, he is not listed as a state representative on the roll. According to sources, his nomination remains a possibility.

Kiran More has also worked with the Mumbai Indians. She is currently the General Manager of the Mumbai Indians Women's team in the Women's Premier League. More is considered to have experience and expertise in both cricket and administration. There was speculation recently that former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar might be interested in the position, but the legendary cricketer dismissed all speculation.

According to reports, an informal meeting for the top post is likely to be held in New Delhi on Saturday. The election process will begin with nominations on September 20th, followed by scrutiny and release of the final list on September 23rd. Voting will take place on September 28th during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This meeting will also announce the new national selectors, making it a significant turning point in Indian cricket administration.
