Rishabh Pant breaks records: Surpasses Sehwag's sixes in tests, creates history vs SA
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has become the Indian to hit the most sixes in Tests, surpassing former cricketer Virender Sehwag.
Coming in at number five, Rishabh Pant scored 27 runs off 24 balls in the first innings against South Africa, hitting two sixes and two fours.
Rishabh Pant has hit 92 sixes in 48 Test matches so far, while Virender Sehwag has hit 90 sixes in 103 Test matches.
Rohit Sharma is third on this list, having hit 88 sixes in 67 Test matches. Ravindra Jadeja is fourth with 80 sixes in 88 Tests. Dhoni is fifth on the list, having hit 78 sixes in 90 Tests.
The Indian team has taken the lead against visiting South Africa in the first Test match being played at Eden Gardens.
