Meanwhile, a major update has emerged regarding Team India's star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Pant has fully recovered from his injury and is set to return to the Indian Test team. His selection for the South Africa Test series is considered almost certain.

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Team India's squad for this series has been selected, pending an official announcement. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is set to return to India's Test team for this series.

Pant missed India's last Test series against the West Indies as he was recovering from a leg injury he sustained during the fourth Test against England in Manchester in July.

According to reports, Rishabh Pant recently returned to the field playing for India A and is now ready to join Team India. He demonstrated his match fitness last week by captaining India A in the first four-day match against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Rishabh Pant will replace N. Jagadeesan, who was part of Team India's squad for the previous series. He was also included in the squad for the England tour after Pant was injured, but he is set to be ruled out of the South Africa series.

N. Jagadeesan has been scoring heavily in domestic cricket for quite some time, earning him a spot in Team India, but he has yet to make his international debut. Not getting a chance in South Africa means he will have to wait longer for his debut. He is currently playing in the Ranji Trophy.
