Famous RCB Bowler Booked for Raping 17-Year-Old Minor, FIR Registered Under POCSO
Jaipur(The Uttam Hindu): Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Yash Dayal has been booked in Jaipur after a 17-year-old minor accused him of repeated sexual exploitation over two years on the pretext of helping her build a cricket career.
The FIR, lodged at Sanganer Sadar police station, alleges that Dayal first contacted the girl through cricket and assaulted her multiple times, including during the RR vs RCB match in Jaipur when he called her to a hotel near Sitapura. After prolonged emotional blackmail and harassment, the victim filed an official complaint on July 23, 2025. Since the initial incidents occurred when the girl was a minor, Jaipur Police registered the case under the stringent POCSO Act 2012, which carries severe punishment.
This comes after Dayal was already facing a separate sexual harassment case in Ghaziabad, where the Allahabad High Court had stayed his police custody. Jaipur Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
