'We Will Bomb CM's Residence': Threatening Email to Kerala CM Prompts Swift Police Action; Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad Deployed
Thiruvananthapuram (The Uttam Hindu): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's official residence received a bomb threat on Sunday. Police said a thorough search was carried out with the help of dog squads and bomb disposal squads, but nothing suspicious was found.
A senior police officer said that the Thampanoor police station had received a threat via email. The email threatened to bomb the CM's residence Cliff House. However, when the police searched, the threat turned out to be a mere rumour. Let us tell you that Kerala Chief Minister Vijayan and his family are currently abroad. It has not yet been confirmed who sent the email. The police are trying to find out whether this threat is connected to the recent incidents of bomb threats given to major institutions in the state.
