Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A minor bill dispute in Mumbai's Malad East area took a horrific turn. A customer at a Sahara Vada Pav shop, who had come to eat samosas and cutlets, bit off the shop owner's finger with his teeth.

The customer had come to eat samosas and cutlets. He paid after eating, but then an argument broke out with the shop owner's son over the bill. Shopkeeper Ranjeet Harivansh Singh intervened, further enraging the customer, who bit the shopkeeper's finger. Dindoshi police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.

According to police, the incident occurred near Shivaji Chowk around 8:30 pm on Monday. According to Ranjeet Harivansh Singh, the customer had paid online after eating samosas and cutlets, but when his son Aryan asked for confirmation, the customer became enraged and began abusing him. Seeing the situation escalate, Ranjeet asked him to calm down and leave, but the accused's anger escalated. He suddenly attacked Ranjeet. The situation quickly escalated. The accused held the middle finger of Ranjeet's right hand in his mouth and bit it hard, severing the tip of the finger. Furthermore, he also bit off two fingers of his left hand, severely injuring him.

The shop employee and Ranjeet's son managed to subdue the accused. Ranjeet, covered in blood, was immediately rushed to KEM Hospital in Parel, where he is undergoing treatment. Police have identified the accused as Laxmidhar Mangal Malik. He has been taken into custody and an investigation has begun.
