Yamunanagar (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident unfolded in Yamunanagar, Haryana, on Sunday afternoon when the naked, decapitated body of a young woman was found in a nursery of poplar plants along the Jagadhri-Paonta National Highway. The news of the body's discovery sent shockwaves through the area.

The nursery operator discovered the body as he arrived to water the field and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, Pratapnagar police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and began an investigation. According to the police, the deceased appeared to be around 25 years old. She was wearing only undergarments, and her head was nowhere to be found. Police are searching the surrounding area for the woman's head, but have yet to uncover any significant clues.

The crime scene team also arrived at the scene, gathering evidence and thoroughly examining the scene. Police also enlisted the help of a dog squad to track down the killers. Considering the case extremely serious, the police have intensified the search for the killers. Preliminary investigations suggest the possibility that the victim was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped here.

Villagers say that the manner in which the young woman's body was found suggests that she may have been sexually assaulted. However, the police say that something inappropriate may have happened to the woman before her murder, but nothing can be said about this at this time. This will only be revealed after the postmortem. The police have sent her photographs to nearby police stations for identification.
