Heinous act: Stepfather brutally beats 3-year-old to death in Faridabad, shocks conscience

Faridabad (The Uttam Hindu) : A case that shames humanity has come to light in the Ballabhgarh area of ​​Faridabad. A stepfather brutally beat a three-year-old child to death. Six days later, police recovered the child's body from bushes in the Sector 58 Industrial Area. The accused stepfather, Prashant, has been arrested. The Agrasen Chowki police are investigating the case.

Chandni, a resident of Bihar, told the police that she was first married to a man named Raju, a resident of Bihar. A few years later, fed up with Raju's alcoholism and violence, she divorced him. She had a son, Rocky, from that marriage. In March 2025, her family arranged her second marriage to Prashant, also from Bihar. After the marriage, they moved into a rented house in the Uncha Gaon area of ​​Ballabhgarh. Prashant worked as a mechanic at a company in Sector 58. Chandni explained that she had gone to the market on the evening of October 19th. When she returned, she found her son in a very serious condition. Upon questioning, Prashant revealed that he had punched Rocky. He then took the child out of the house on the pretext of taking him to a doctor. When he returned at around 9:30 p.m., the child was missing.

When Chandni asked about the child, Prashant coldly replied, "I killed the child; he's in the park." When Chandni reached the park, she couldn't find her son. Upon returning home, Prashant began assaulting her, after which she managed to escape to her sister's house. Chandni filed a police complaint on October 21st. After an FIR was registered on October 22nd, the police detained Prashant for questioning. Initially, he misled the police, but after rigorous interrogation, he confessed to the crime on the night of October 24th. Based on his information, the police recovered the child's body from bushes near a factory in Sector 58.

Police investigations revealed that Prashant disliked Rocky because he was Chandni's son from her first husband. They often quarreled over this issue. Police say the child had severe injuries on his stomach and body. The body has been sent for a postmortem, which will determine the exact cause of death.
