Oxygen Line Blast Rocks Noida Hospital, ICU Patients Shifted Amidst Chaos and Safety Concerns
Noida (The Uttam Hindu): A sudden burst of an oxygen supply line at a private hospital in Sector 66 caused panic. The burst pipe produced a loud explosion and smoke, terrifying patients and their relatives. In the chaos, people began running for safety.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police from Phase 3 police station and a fire brigade team arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that a minor explosion occurred due to a leak in the oxygen line. This temporarily disrupted the hospital's oxygen supply, forcing critical patients to be immediately shifted to other wards or nearby hospitals.
Hospital authorities stated that eight patients admitted to the ICU were safely transferred to other hospitals via ambulance. The remaining patients were also shifted to other wards as a precautionary measure. Fire department officials confirmed that no injuries or fires were reported in the incident. The situation is now fully under control, and peace has been restored to the hospital premises. According to information received from Fire Station Phase 3, the minor blast was caused by a leak in an oxygen line. As a precaution, the department has inspected the pipeline and cylinder system to prevent similar accidents in the future.
