Shamli (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, tarnishing relationships. In Garhi Daulat village of Kandhla police station area, a deranged husband, upset with domestic discord and his wife's behavior, brutally murdered his wife and two innocent daughters. The murderer's brutality did not stop there; to hide his crime, he buried the bodies of all three in a pre-dug toilet pit (safety tank) inside the house. The revelation of this gruesome murder has created a stir in the entire area, and the police have taken the accused husband, Farooq, into custody.

The mystery of the incident began to unravel when Farukh's wife, Tahira, and his 14-year-old and 6-year-old daughters went missing under suspicious circumstances on December 9th. To mislead family and villagers, Farukh lied, claiming he had left his wife and children at their parents' home. However, when several days passed without any sign of them, the family informed the police. When the police began investigating, suspicion fell squarely on Farukh. Considering the gravity of the case, Shamli Superintendent of Police N.P. Singh arrived at the scene with a heavy police force. Under rigorous police interrogation, the accused broke down and confessed to shooting his wife and daughters to death and burying their bodies in a tank in the house.

The police investigation revealed a shocking reason behind this horrific step. Tahira, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, and Farooq, a resident of Kandhla, had been married for 18 years and have five children. The family often had disputes over financial constraints, which led to Tahira leaving for her parents' home with the children a month ago. Farooq was also deeply upset with his wife for not wearing a burqa and living a modern lifestyle. When he brought Tahira back 15 days ago, the dispute erupted again. When his wife expressed her desire to live her life as per her wishes, the crazy husband hatched this horrific plot.

At present, recovering the bodies remains a challenge for the police administration. Following the accused's directions, police teams are digging up safety tanks and pits inside the house. The bodies were not recovered until late last night, but the police strongly suspect they were hidden there. A heavy police force is deployed in the village, and a crowd of villagers has gathered. SP Shamli stated that the accused is being interrogated, and the bodies will soon be recovered and sent for post-mortem. This incident has once again raised serious questions about the safety of women and the narrow mindset in society.
