AI-Minister ‘Diela’ to ‘Give Birth’ to 83 AI assistants — PM’s unconventional announcement shocks everyone

Berlin (The Uttam Hindu): Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama made a shocking announcement during the Global Dialogue conference held in Berlin, Germany. He announced that Albania's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Minister, Diela, is pregnant and is about to give birth to 83 "children." However, before people could be surprised by the pregnancy of a robot, the Prime Minister clarified that this surprising announcement meant something else.

Diela, meaning "sun" in Albanian, is the world's first fully AI-based "State Minister for Artificial Intelligence." She is depicted as a woman (as a robot) dressed in traditional Albanian attire. The Albanian government has given her the status of a full-fledged minister.

"Today we took a big risk with Diella and we did very well. So for the first time Diella is pregnant and she has 83 children with her," Prime Minister Edi Rama said in Berlin.

In fact, what PM Edi Rama is calling 83 "children" are actually 83 new AI assistants. These AI assistants will be created, one for each Member of Parliament (MP) of the ruling Socialist Party. These "children" will be fully operational by the end of 2026, and Minister Diella's "knowledge" (data and algorithms) will be transferred to all of them.

PM Rama explained that these AI assistants, or "children," will record everything that happens in Parliament. They will attend parliamentary sessions, keep a record of all discussions and events, and inform their "bosses" (MPs) about discussions or events they may have missed.

Moreover, these assistants will also advise MPs on which issues they should launch a 'counterattack'. "If you (MP) go out for coffee and forget to come back to work, this child will repeat what was said when you were not in the hall, and will also tell you what you should counterattack on," PM Rama explained.

AI Minister Diela was appointed in September this year to make Albania's public procurement system completely transparent and corruption-free. She is responsible for making all decisions related to public tenders, ensuring they are 100 percent corruption-free. She is also helping citizens and businesses obtain government documents.
