New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Instead of improving, Elon Musk's Grok AI is constantly embroiled in serious controversies. This AI tool of the company is creating pornographic material at a rapid pace, which has now taken a horrific form. A recent research has revealed the shocking fact that Grok AI has generated about 3 million pornographic images in less than two weeks. The most worrying thing is that children are visible in about 23,000 of these images.

Every 41 seconds, an objectionable image of children is created

The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) has made this alarming estimate in its report. According to the analysis of digital intelligence company 'Periton Intelligence', this dangerous trend went viral at the beginning of the new year. According to the report, it reached its peak on January 2, when 1,99,612 separate requests were received in a single day. CCDH conducted a complete assessment of Grok's output from December 29, 2025 to January 8, 2026, which revealed that during this period of 11 days, Grok was creating child pornography every 41 seconds.

Celebrities and common people are being targeted

Musk's AI image generation tool has sparked widespread public outrage and government scrutiny. Reports indicate that people are misusing the tool. Users are uploading ordinary photos of strangers and celebrities and, upon prompting, converting them into pornographic images. The AI tool is generating and distributing these images without any restrictions. This is why Grok has now come under the scrutiny of governments and security agencies around the world.

British PM calls it 'disgusting', ban imposed in many countries

After the controversy escalated and pornographic images went viral, the company restricted the image generation feature to paid users on January 9th. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the situation "disgusting" and "shameful," following which the company imposed further restrictions on the platform. Considering the seriousness of the issue, other countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia, have also announced bans on the AI tool. However, X issued a statement last week, saying it was committed to making the platform safe and that its "zero tolerance" policy towards pornographic content would continue.
