New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There is bad news for customers waiting for Apple's new iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. Pre-booking for this new series, launched last week started from September 12 and its delivery was to start from September 19 but now customers may have to wait a long time to get their new phone. The delivery promise made by Apple does not seem to be fulfilled as retailers in India are reportedly facing a huge shortage of stock.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, many retailers across the country have reported shortage of stock of iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. Industry sources say that this shortage is being seen due to the rapid expansion of Apple's retail network in India. Due to the large network, the stock sent per store has decreased which has had the biggest impact on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models.

The impact of the stock shortage is also clearly visible on Apple's official website. According to the website, if a customer books the 256GB storage variant of the iPhone 17 today (September 15), he will get the delivery between September 27 and October 5. Similarly, booking the 512GB variant of the iPhone 17 Pro is also showing the same long wait for delivery which is well ahead of the scheduled September 19 date.
