Robot rampage: Chinese kitchen caper goes viral - watch robot fumble, fall flat

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): While humans may dream of having robots do household chores in the future, these robots are currently causing problems for many. A video is rapidly going viral on social media showing a high-tech robot failing miserably in the kitchen. The robot is unable to even handle utensils and even falls to the floor.

This viral video is said to be of the G1 robot of Chinese company Unitree Robotics, which has been shared by X (formerly Twitter) users.

The viral video shows a robot working in a home kitchen. It tries to pick up a cooking pan, but it loses its grip, causing it to fall to the ground. Before it can do anything else, the robot loses its balance and falls to the ground with a thud after messing up the kitchen.

However, it is not yet clear whether this video is real or it has been created with the help of AI.

This isn't the first case of robot malfunction or unexpected behavior. Previously, a video went viral in which a robot suddenly began kicking and punching a man. Earlier this year, CCTV footage from a Chinese factory went viral. The video showed Unitree Robotics' Unitree H1 humanoid robot suddenly becoming aggressive during testing. It began rapidly kicking and punching its own engineer.

These frequent incidents have sparked a new debate on social media about the safety of robots. Many users have raised serious questions. The question often arises: is there any guarantee that these robots will not harm humans? Only time will tell how safe robots will be in the future, thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).
