Chaos on Air India Flight: Passengers Stranded for 2 Hours Without AC or Power, Forced to Fan Themselves with Newspapers
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): An Air India flight AI2380 bound for Singapore from Delhi on Wednesday night turned into a nightmare for more than 200 passengers after the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner developed a sudden technical snag.
According to passengers, the aircraft’s air conditioning system and power supply completely shut down, leaving the cabin stifling hot. Struggling with the heat, many passengers were seen using newspapers and magazines as makeshift fans, a scene that quickly went viral after videos surfaced on social media.
One of the passengers, a journalist with PTI, said travelers were kept waiting inside the aircraft for nearly two hours without any clear explanation. Later, all passengers were abruptly asked to disembark and return to the terminal.
Shockingly, neither the crew members nor Air India officials offered a clear reason behind the technical failure. The incident has sparked outrage among passengers, many of whom have taken to social media to demand an official explanation and compensation. This incident has once again raised serious questions about airline safety, technical reliability, and passenger comfort in India’s aviation sector. As of now, Air India has not issued an official statement.
