Felt Like the Plane Slipped on Runway: Air India Flight Aborts Takeoff, Congress Leader Among Passengers
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Panic struck at Kochi International Airport on Monday night after an Air India flight (AI504) bound for Delhi developed a technical snag just before takeoff.
According to airport officials, the flight had to be cancelled due to the sudden malfunction. Among the passengers was Congress MP Hibi Eden from Ernakulam, who later posted on Facebook that the aircraft felt as if it “slipped on the runway.”
Air India confirmed the incident, stating that during the takeoff roll, an abnormality was detected. Following standard safety protocol, the cockpit crew decided to abort the flight and returned the aircraft to the bay for maintenance checks. Authorities emphasized that all passengers were safe and alternative arrangements were being made.
