Blackout and Shop Restrictions Lifted in Punjab and Haryana: A Sigh of Relief for People
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu) : Now no blackout, no ban on opening shops… Ceasefire has been declared between India and Pakistan. The public has also heaved a sigh of relief with the declaration of ceasefire. With the declaration of ceasefire, apart from Chandigarh, other restrictions including blackout have been removed from Jalandhar, Ropar, Moga, Kapurthala, Barnala, Amritsar and Pathankot. There will be no blackout in Ferozepur, but the ban on flying drones will continue.
Now no blackout, no ban on opening shops… And after the ceasefire, restrictions have started being lifted from Haryana as well. The order of blackout to be held today in Panipat, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Karnal and Hisar has been revoked. As soon as DC Himanshu Aggarwal received the official information of ceasefire in Jalandhar, Punjab, all the restrictions imposed due to war in the district have been lifted with immediate effect. It has been said that now the situation has become normal. Dr. Aggarwal held a high level meeting with all SDMs and officers of various departments in the afternoon, in which he directed that there should be no shortage in the arrangements to deal with all types of situations. The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the Punjab Government to stand with the district residents in every situation and said that even after the situation becomes normal, the officers should be ready to provide all kinds of support and help to the common people. Dr. Aggarwal also praised the officers / employees working with dedication during this time.
In Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, the orders for keeping shops etc. closed from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am on Saturday and blackout from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am have been withdrawn.
