New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): In a dramatic late-night operation, Delhi Police’s Special Cell engaged in a fierce gunfight with notorious shooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in New Ashok Nagar early Thursday. The encounter ended with the arrest of two criminals, one of whom was shot in the leg during the exchange of fire.

According to officials, the Special Cell had received an intelligence tip-off that two sharpshooters linked to Lawrence Bishnoi were planning a major attack in the area. Acting swiftly, police teams surrounded the suspects. When cornered, the criminals opened fire, triggering a heavy exchange of bullets.

During the crossfire, gangster Kartik Jakhar was injured in his leg, while his associate Kavish was also overpowered and taken into custody. Police immediately shifted the injured shooter to a hospital.

Initial investigations revealed that both arrested criminals were working for Harry Boxer, a gangster based in the United States who is closely associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate. Sources said Boxer himself faces multiple criminal cases abroad. Police are now interrogating the duo to uncover further details about their plans, international links, and the larger network of the Bishnoi gang. The operation is being hailed as a major success in Delhi’s fight against organized crime.
