Kathmandu (The Uttam Hindu): Big news has come out from Nepal regarding the interim Prime Minister. The name of former Chief Justice of Nepal Supreme Court Sushila Karki is almost certain for the interim PM. According to sources, there is a consensus on her name in the virtual meeting of Generation-Z. According to the information, about 5,000 people participated in this online meeting and the name of Sushila Karki was proposed unanimously.

Who is Sushila Karki?

73-year-old Sushila Karki has been the first woman judge of Nepal and later also the first woman Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. She was born on 7 June 1952 in Biratnagar. On 11 July 2016, she became the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, although about a year later, on 30 April 2017, an impeachment motion was brought against her and she was removed from the post. Karki is the eldest of seven children of her parents. She did BA from Mahendra Morang Campus of Biratnagar in 1972. In 1975, she did a master's degree in political science from Banaras Hindu University and LLB from Tribhuvan University in 1978. After this, she started practicing law in 1979.
