New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has decided to present evidence against the TRF (The Resistance Front) terrorist organization at the United Nations Security Council. India is demanding a ban on this terrorist group. Regarding the move to ban TRF, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said, “India is indeed receiving international support on this issue. Members of the United Nations have clearly stated that the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack must receive the harshest punishment.”

Speaking on talks between Pakistan and India, the External Affairs Minister said, “Since the beginning, our country’s policy has been that any discussions with Pakistan will only be bilateral.”

On Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar stated:

“We destroyed the terrorist infrastructure. We had warned Pakistan in advance that we were going to strike terrorist camps, not their military, and that their military had the option to stay out of the operation. They chose not to follow that advice. Pakistan attacked India, and we responded in kind. Satellite images clearly show the extent of the damage we inflicted on Pakistan, and how little they could manage in response.”

On the ceasefire, Jaishankar hinted at Pakistan and said, “It is quite clear who wanted the firing to stop.”

After the Pahalgam attack, India also suspended the Indus Waters Treaty. On this matter, the External Affairs Minister said:

“The Indus Waters Treaty is suspended and will remain so until Pakistan verifiably and irreversibly stops cross-border terrorism.”

He further added, “There is only one topic left for discussion regarding Kashmir — and that is the vacation of illegally occupied Indian territory in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). We are ready to talk about that.”

Regarding the ongoing India–US trade agreement, EAM Jaishankar said:

“Trade negotiations between India and the US are ongoing. These are complex talks. Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. Any trade deal must be mutually beneficial and effective for both countries. That is our expectation. Until such an outcome is reached, making any decision would be premature.”
