Miracle in Last Rites: Grandma Springs Back to Life as Holy Water Touched Her! Doctor Explains the Shocking Truth
Jhansi(The Uttam Hindu): In an unbelievable turn of events, a 90-year-old woman who was declared dead came back to life just moments before her funeral preparations were about to start. The incident, which took place in Bhojla village of Jhansi’s Sipri Bazar area, left family members and neighbors stunned.
According to the woman’s relatives, Maya Devi collapsed around 10 a.m. on Friday morning and stopped breathing. Her body had become cold and lifeless. A local compounder was called to check her pulse and declared her dead, after which the family informed relatives and began preparing for the funeral.
The atmosphere in the house turned mournful as people gathered, incense sticks were lit, and Maya Devi’s body was laid on the floor for the final rituals.
However, after nearly two and a half hours, as family members sprinkled holy Ganga water on her body as part of the last rites, Maya Devi suddenly started breathing again. She opened her eyes and began speaking, shocking everyone present. What started as a moment of fear quickly turned into one of celebration, with many calling it a miracle and starting prayers in gratitude.
Doctors, however, offered a different explanation. A local physician said this was likely a case of “circulatory shock,” a medical condition where the body’s blood circulation slows down drastically, causing the person to appear lifeless. External stimuli, like sprinkling cold water, can sometimes restart the circulation. The doctor clarified, “No one can come back from actual death. It’s a rare but possible medical situation where the person only appears dead.”
