Horror Crash: Speeding Bus Rams Into Vegetable Traders’ Vehicle, Three Killed on the Spot in Jalandhar
Kapurthala (The Uttam Hindu): A horrific road accident took place this morning near Mand village on the Kapurthala–Jalandhar road. According to eyewitnesses, a high-speed bus coming from the wrong direction suddenly collided head-on with a small commercial vehicle ("Chhota Hathi"). The collision was so intense that the smaller vehicle was completely crushed, killing all three occupants on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as traders associated with the Kapurthala vegetable market. Reports suggest they were transporting vegetables to Jalandhar in the morning. As news of the tragedy spread, chaos erupted in the area and a large crowd gathered at the accident site.
Angry relatives and locals staged a protest on the Kapurthala–Jalandhar road, blocking traffic and demanding strict action against the negligent bus driver. Police officials rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the protesters, assuring them of a thorough investigation. The bodies were sent for postmortem, and a manhunt has been launched to trace the bus driver.
