Lawyer who threw shoe at former CJI Gavai publicly gets slippered in Karkardooma court; video surfaces
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Chaos prevailed at the Karkardooma Court complex in Delhi, when Rakesh Kishore, the lawyer accused of throwing a shoe at former Supreme Court Chief Justice B.R. Gavai, was brutally beaten up by a group of lawyers. The enraged lawyers surrounded Rakesh Kishore and showered him with slippers. Security personnel present at the scene intervened with great difficulty, pulling him out of the crowd and taking him to a safe place.
It's worth noting that Rakesh Kishore recently threw a shoe at B.R. Gavai during a Supreme Court hearing. Although Justice Gavai magnanimously forgave him, the incident deeply angered the legal community. This anger was evident at the Karkardooma Court, where Rakesh Kishore's arrival sparked a furious outburst, and he was heckled and beaten with slippers.
Rakesh Kishore, approximately 71-72 years old, is a senior advocate registered with the Delhi Bar Council since 2009. Following the shoe incident, the Bar Council of India took strict action and suspended him, preventing him from representing any cases. Despite the embarrassment and suspension, Rakesh Kishore shows no remorse for his actions. He offered a bizarre explanation, claiming that God appeared in his dream and instructed him to do so, which is why he threw the shoe.
