Mumbai Airport Hit by Network Outage, Systems Down Amid Passenger Crowd

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu):  Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport faced a network failure on Saturday, causing disruptions in flight operations. The airlines' check-in system was affected due to a third-party data network outage. The airport authority said that efforts are on to control the situation, for which emergency measures have been initiated.

In response to a passenger's question, the airport said on X, 'We would like to inform you that there has been a network failure at the airport. We have started emergency measures and our main team is engaged in solving this problem. We are working in manual mode to minimize interruptions. Thank you for your patience.' Air India also informed passengers about the network failure, due to which flights may be delayed. However, the airline said that the affected system has been fixed, but there may be some delay in returning to normal. The airline has issued an advisory to passengers. It said that check the flight timings before going to the airport.
