“Temple Will Be Blown Up!” –Terror Email Rocks Mumbai! ISKCON Temple Threatened With Deadly Bomb Blast
Mumbai(The Uttam Hindu): A bomb threat has been issued to the ISKCON Temple located in Girgaon, Mumbai, creating panic in the area. The temple received the threat via email, prompting the administration to immediately alert the Gamdevi Police Station.
According to officials, the threatening email was received on Monday and claimed that the temple would be blown up. As soon as the complaint was lodged, the police, along with a bomb disposal squad, rushed to the site and conducted a thorough search of the temple premises. Fortunately, no suspicious objects were found during the inspection.
It has been revealed that the email was sent from an ID under the name ‘Immanuel Sekaran’. Based on the temple administration’s complaint, the police have registered a case against unknown persons. Cybercrime experts are now working to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender.
Meanwhile, the temple administration and police have tightened security around the temple complex. Additional personnel have been deployed, and visitors are being screened as a precautionary measure. Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and not fall prey to rumors, assuring that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure safety.
This is not the first time Mumbai has received such threats. Earlier, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) had also received a similar bomb threat via email from an unknown sender, leading to heightened security and vigilance on the premises. On June 15, the US Consulate in Mumbai was also targeted with a bomb threat, which turned out to be a hoax after police and bomb squad teams thoroughly scanned the area and found nothing suspicious.
Police have reiterated that strict action will be taken against those responsible for spreading panic with such fake threats. Investigations are underway to determine whether the latest email is part of a larger pattern of hoax threats or a genuine attempt to disrupt public peace.
