Heartbreaking Incident: 11-Year-Old Boy Killed by Pet Dog, Owner Arrested

Etawah(The Uttam Hindu): In a tragic incident that has shaken the Etawah community, an 11-year-old boy lost his life after being brutally attacked by a pet dog. The boy, Ahil, was out collecting scrap to support his family when the fatal attack occurred near a local residence.

According to reports, Ahil was passing by the house of Ritik, the owner of the pet dog named Lucy, when the dog was allegedly provoked by Ritik to attack the child. Eyewitnesses stated that the dog targeted Ahil’s neck and bit him severely. Despite the efforts of nearby residents who rushed to help, the boy succumbed to his injuries at the spot due to excessive bleeding.

The police acted swiftly, taking custody of the body for a postmortem. The report confirmed that the cause of death was multiple deep bite wounds to the neck resulting in heavy blood loss. Following the report and a complaint lodged by the victim’s aunt, the police arrested Ritik and charged him with non-intentional homicide.

The district administration has expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured that the investigation will be thorough.
