Chandigarh (Uttam Hindu): Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting of the Punjab government held at the CM residence in Chandigarh. The government has announced to increase the age limit for Group D recruitment by two years.

For Group D recruitment, people between 18 and 35 years of age were able to apply for these posts, but after the change, now people up to 37 years of age will be able to apply. Along with this, the Seed Act has also been amended in the meeting. Due to which those marketing substandard seeds will be fined and given strict punishment.

Along with this, the government has extended the tenure of the staff transferred from the Rural Development Department to the Animal Husbandry Department by one year. The officers serving in VAT will be given salary as per the rules of the Punjab Government.
