Rahul Gandhi alleges massive vote rigging in Haryana: Claims 2.5 million votes stolen, cites example of Brazilian model's fake votes
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, held a press conference on Wednesday, reiterating his allegations of alleged vote theft. He questioned the functioning of the Election Commission and alleged rigging in the Haryana elections.
During a press conference, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Congress party was poised to win the Haryana elections with a landslide victory. Most exit polls also indicated the same trend. Survey agencies had projected Congress winning approximately 73 seats and the BJP winning only 17 in postal ballots, but the results were the opposite. He emphasized that in Haryana's electoral history, postal ballot results had never differed from the final result.
The Congress leader claimed that a conspiracy was already underway to turn Congress's landslide victory into a defeat under the name "Operation Government Steal." The result was that Congress lost the election in Haryana by a mere 22,779 votes (the sum of the eight narrowest margins). He reported that the BJP received 5,548,800 votes, while Congress received 5,430,602 votes, winning 48 seats and 37.
Rahul Gandhi allegedly shared a photo of a Brazilian model and claimed that she had 22 fake votes in 10 booths in the Rai Assembly constituency. He claimed this was an example of 2.5 million votes being stolen in Haryana. Rahul Gandhi stated that the elections in Haryana were rigged in the form of 521,619 duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid addresses, and 1,926,351 bulk voters. Furthermore, Form 6 and Form 7 were misused.
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha insisted that out of 2 crore voters in Haryana, 25 lakh votes were stolen, which means one out of every eight votes was stolen.
Rahul Gandhi also appealed to young voters, saying that Generation Z should listen and understand this secret "conspiracy," as it concerns their future. "It is your future that is being snatched away and your dreams are being stolen, and all this is happening right in front of you," he appealed.
