Thiruvananthapuram (The Uttam Hindu): Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Friday said he is grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for their support in building India's first deep-sea automated port. He also said that this port will be the global transshipment hub of the future. Adani said, "Together we are moving towards a strong and brave India."

After dedicating the Rs 8,900 crore Vizhinjam International Deep-Water Multipurpose Seaport to the nation on behalf of Prime Minister Modi, Gautam Adani said that this is a victory of vision, strength and partnership. In his address on this occasion, PM Modi also took a dig at the opposition. During this, he also commented on Shashi Tharoor and the Chief Minister of Kerala. PM Modi said that I would like to tell the Chief Minister that you are a very big pillar of the INDI alliance, Shashi Tharoor is also sitting here and today's event will give sleepless nights to many people. The message went where it had to go. On this occasion, PM Modi shook hands with Shashi Tharoor and also stopped and talked to him for some time.

He further said that I have come back after visiting the port. When the people of Gujarat will come to know that Adani Group has built such a port here in Kerala, whereas they have been working on the port (in the area) for the last 30 years, but they did not build such a port there, then they will have to be ready to bear the anger of the people of Gujarat. Starting his speech, PM Modi said that today is the birth anniversary of Lord Adi Shankaracharya. Three years ago in September, I had the privilege of visiting his birthplace. I am happy that a grand statue of Adi Shankaracharya has been installed in the Vishwanath Dham complex in my parliamentary constituency Kashi. Adding the connection between Kerala and Kedarnath, PM Modi said that I have also got the privilege of unveiling the divine statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath Dham of Uttarakhand.
