Hanoi (The Uttam Hindu): A video is going viral all over the social media where Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte are seen having a fight in which she allegedly grabbed his face and pushed him backwards leaving him embarassed in front of the paparazzi. The incident has become talk of the town and happened while Macron was on his visit to Vietnam on May 25.
In this video recorded by Associated Press, it is being claimed that as soon as President Macron's plane landed at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, his wife Brigitte Macron grabbed his mouth and pushed him back. In the video, Macron appears uncomfortable for a few moments, but immediately composes himself and greets the people standing outside the plane.
After this, Brigitte Macron also disembarks from the plane. While descending the stairs, Emmanuel Macron tries to extend his hand towards his wife, which Brigitte ignores. Macron's office, the Elysee Palace, has reacted to this incident. Initially, he denied any such incident, but later described it as a minor quarrel between husband and wife.
A close aide to Macron told AFP that the president and his wife were joking around, which is being portrayed as a domestic dispute by pro-Russian trolls. The incident came at the start of Emmanuel Macron's tour of Southeast Asia. After Vietnam, he is also scheduled to visit Indonesia and then Singapore.
