“I was bored, so I killed my mother,” says man after surrendering to police
Nashik (The Uttam Hindu) - A case that shook humanity has come to light from Shivajinagar area of Nashik, where a son killed his mother just because of 'boredom'.
58-year-old Arvind Murlidhar Patil brutally strangled his 80-year-old mother, Yashodabai Murlidhar Patil, to death. This horrific incident has shocked the entire area. After the murder, the accused, Arvind, went to the Nashik Road police station and nonchalantly told officers, "I was bored, so I killed my mother. Now arrest me."
The police immediately took him into custody and arrived at his home. Yashodabai's body was found lying in the room, causing a stir in the entire area. Police investigations revealed that the accused, Arvind, known as "Balu Patil," had been mentally unstable for some time. According to reports, his wife had also left the home a few months earlier due to his deteriorating mental state.
Police have registered a murder case against the accused. He is also undergoing a psychological evaluation to determine his mental state at the time of the incident.
The accused is currently in police custody and further investigations are underway.
