Shocking! Man Stabs Property Dealer for Protesting Cigarette Smoke in Face
Nagpur (The Uttam Hindu): A minor dispute took a bloody turn in Maharashtra's Nagpur city. Protesting against cigarette smoke being blown on his face at a shop proved very costly for a property dealer. When the property dealer objected to this, the accused got angry and attacked him with a knife in his chest.
According to the police, this shocking incident took place in Yashodhara Nagar area on Sunday night. The victim, identified as Lalit Ganesh Mohadikar, is in a critical condition. The police took immediate action and arrested the shop owner. According to information, 36-year-old property dealer Lalit Mohadikar went to Syed Sabir's (35) paan shop at around 10:30 pm. At that time, some other people were also present at the shop. One of them deliberately blew cigarette smoke on Mohadikar's face, due to which a heated argument started between the two.
Soon the argument turned into a fight. The accused first attacked Mohadikar with sticks and injured him. Police said that when a bleeding Mohadikar tried to escape on his motorcycle, the accused pushed him off the vehicle and then one of the accused stabbed him in the chest. The injured Mohadikar was immediately rushed to the government Mayo Hospital, where doctors have declared his condition critical. A case of attempted murder has been registered at the Yashodhara Nagar police station and the accused shop owner Sabir has been arrested and further investigation is being carried out.
