New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Just ahead of the festive season, the country's largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has given its customers a significant gift. The company has significantly reduced the price of its popular crossover, the Fronx. Following GST 2.0, which came into effect on September 22nd, the car has become cheaper by up to ₹1.11 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which is based on the Baleno premium hatchback, has been one of the best-selling cars since its launch. After this price cut, the new starting price of the Maruti Fronx is now ₹6.85 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to ₹11.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the variant, the Fronx prices have been reduced by ₹74,000 to ₹1.11 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is sold through the Nexa retail network. The company launched this crossover to capitalize on the ever-growing popularity of utility vehicles (SUVs), which were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. With this significant price cut, along with other festive offers available at dealerships, Fronx sales are expected to surge significantly in the coming weeks.

Three Powerful Engine Options

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is available to customers in three different powertrain options. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The second is a 1.2-litre petrol-CNG option, which produces 77 bhp and 98.5 Nm of torque in CNG mode and is available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The third is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 99 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque, mated to both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
