Shocking incident: Soldier held after mother broadcasts molestation live

Chamoli (The Uttam Hindu): A shameful incident has come to light in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, where an army soldier has been accused of molesting a minor girl. The matter escalated when the victim's mother, demonstrating courage, livestreamed the entire incident on social media, prompting police action. Acting immediately on the victim's family's complaint, the police filed a case against the accused soldier and arrested him.

This incident occurred in Tharali town of Chamoli district. According to reports, a soldier posted at the Army's CSD canteen committed this heinous act on Sunday evening. The victim's mother stated that her minor daughter had left the house to walk her pet dog. During this time, the accused soldier unlocked the locked canteen, lured the girl inside under some pretext, and molested her.

After the incident, the frightened girl returned home and narrated her ordeal to her mother. The family then immediately filed a complaint with the Tharali SDM and the local police station. Tharali Police Station Officer Pankaj Kumar confirmed the incident and said that an FIR has been filed against the accused soldier and he has been arrested. This incident has sparked widespread anger among the people of the entire area.
