Shocking violence: 5-year-old boy kicked, left bleeding in Bengaluru street; video surfaces
Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu): A shameful incident has come to light from the Thyagarajanagar area of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Here, a mad man brutally kicked a 5-year-old innocent child playing on the street 'like a football'. This heartbreaking incident occurred on December 14th at around 1:15 pm, when the child was playing with other children outside his grandmother's house. This brutality, committed by a passerby without any provocation or fault, has left the local people and family members in deep shock.
The victim has been identified as 5-year-old Neev Jain. According to the child's mother, Deepika Jain, she was visiting her brother Manoj. The child was playing near the house when a neighbor named Ranjan suddenly appeared. He kicked the child with all his might. The impact was so severe that the child fell far away. The fall left a deep wound above the child's eyebrow, which began bleeding, and he also suffered serious injuries to his arms and legs. The family alleges that the accused, Ranjan, is a habitual criminal and is notorious for abusing and assaulting people in the area, creating a fear of him.
The family immediately rushed the injured child to the hospital and later filed a complaint against the accused at the Banashankari police station. Police initially considered the incident a non-cognizable offense (NC), but given the gravity of the case and the child's condition, they obtained permission from the ACJM court on December 15th. A case was subsequently registered under Section 115(2) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), 2023, and the accused, Ranjan, was arrested. However, he was later released on bail. Police officials say eyewitness statements are being recorded and the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, local residents are deeply angered by the incident and have demanded the administration take the strictest possible action against the accused.
