Son murders alcoholic father after daily quarrels, throws body in Yamuna, arrested
Agra (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking case has surfaced in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, where a son murdered his own father. Fed up with his father's alcohol addiction and daily quarrels, the son killed him. The accused then stuffed the body into a bag and threw it into the Yamuna River from a scooter. Police have arrested the accused son, Manish, who confessed to the crime during interrogation.
According to reports, this incident occurred in the Lal Masjid area of Kamla Nagar. The accused, Manish, had been having a long-standing dispute with his father, Bharat Singh. It is reported that Bharat Singh had been living separately from his family for the past 20 years and was an alcoholic. He would often return home drunk and verbally abuse and fight with the family.
Last Friday night, Bharat Singh returned home drunk and causing a commotion. Meanwhile, an argument broke out between Manish and his father in an empty plot near the cowshed, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Infuriated, Manish kicked his father, Bharat Singh, in the chest, killing him instantly.
After the murder, Manish panicked and devised a plan to destroy the evidence. He stuffed the body into a sack, placed it on his Activa scooter, and drove to the Water Works intersection bridge late at night. There, he threw the body into the Yamuna River, so that no one would find out.
On Sunday, police received information from the accused Manish's aunt (father's sister) that Manish had murdered his father. Kamla Nagar police swung into action and swiftly arrested Manish. Police also recovered the Activa scooter used in the murder.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Syed Ali Abbas stated that information was received that the son had murdered his father. A case was immediately registered and the accused son was taken into custody. During interrogation, he revealed that his father practiced witchcraft and would return home drunk and quarrel. On the night of the incident, the dispute escalated to the point where the son, in a fit of rage, killed his father and threw his body into the river after stuffing it in a sack. Police have enlisted the help of divers to search for the body, and the investigation is ongoing.
