The victim shared details and a video of the incident on her Instagram account, which quickly went viral. Recognizing the gravity of the matter, local police took swift action and arrested the 23-year-old accused.

According to reports, the female tourists had been traveling in Sri Lanka via auto rickshaw for the past several days. On the fourth day of their trip, tensions turned tense when a young man on a scooter began following them.

In the viral video shared by the female tourist, it can be clearly seen that the young man on the scooter not only relentlessly followed her but also openly demanded sex from her. During the pursuit, the young man also engaged in a disgusting and obscene act, masturbating in front of her on the street.

After the tourist shared the video on social media, serious questions have been raised about the safety of women in Sri Lanka. Local police have registered a case and are taking further legal action by detaining the accused man.
