Trump claims Iran’s military power weakened, says Gulf nations now united against Tehran
Trump said recent strikes weakened Iran’s military and claimed Gulf nations are now united against Tehran.
Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has claimed that recent American operations have significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities. In an interview, he said US strikes have caused major damage to Iran’s missile and drone systems, including the facilities where they were manufactured. Trump added that American forces have destroyed most of Iran’s missiles and many of its drones.
Trump also said the escalating conflict has strengthened ties between the United States and Gulf countries. According to him, several regional nations that initially tried to remain neutral joined the effort after facing attacks linked to Iran. He claimed the US action was aimed at preventing Tehran from dominating the Middle East and said Iran’s armed forces had suffered heavy losses during the conflict.
The US President further stated that Iran’s missile attacks have decreased significantly and claimed that about 90 percent of the missiles fired had been intercepted. He added that the current focus of US operations is to dismantle Iran’s missile and drone infrastructure. Trump also suggested that Iran’s weakened position could influence regional diplomacy and potentially make it easier for more countries to move toward normalizing relations with Israel.
