Birthday Party Turns into Chaos in Zirakpur, Guest Pulls Out Two Pistols and Fires Shots, Video Goes Viral
Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident from Zirakpur, Punjab, has gone viral on social media, where celebratory firing took place during a birthday party. The party, packed with a large crowd including women, turned dangerous when a man suddenly fired multiple rounds into the air while guests were dancing.
The video shows people enjoying and dancing to the banned Haryanvi song “Ek Khatola Jail Ke Bhitar, Ek Khatola Jail Ke Bahar” sung by Masoom Sharma. As the birthday cake was being cut, a man stepped onto the stage holding two pistols. He fired three rounds from one gun and then lifted the other pistol and fired another shot.
Due to the loud music, the gunshots were barely audible in the video, which was later shared online with the caption “Happy Birthday Shahbaz Bro.”
Police have now registered an FIR against the shooter, identified as Vikram Sharma, as well as the owner of Hotel Picasa, where the party took place. Investigations are underway to determine whether the pistols used were licensed or illegal. Harjinder Singh, in-charge of Dhakoli Police Post, confirmed that the incident took place a few days ago at Hotel Picasa. After verifying the viral video, the police booked the two accused and have started further action in the case.
