India a Shiny Mercedes, Pakistan a Dump Truck: Asim Munir Sparks Outrage
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): If a list of the world's most miserable countries is made, then Pakistan's name will definitely be included in it. But if a list is made of those countries which survive on alms but still boast, then Pakistan will be on top.
Army Chief General Asim Munir's name has now been added to the list of Pakistani leaders who often become ridiculous due to their absurd statements. Recently, while comparing India and Pakistan during a Pakistani community event in Tampa, Florida, he made such a statement that he is being ridiculed on social media.
Munir said that India is like a Mercedes or Ferrari running on the highway, while Pakistan is a dump truck filled with gravel. Although he also added that when a dump truck collides with a car, the damage is done to the car, but his analogy did not go down well with the Pakistanis themselves.
People are writing on social media that the dump truck will break down and overturn before it meets the Mercedes. Critics say that Pakistan, which survives on borrowed money, whether it claims mineral wealth or dreams of rapid development, is in reality a pauper - and both its rulers and America know this very well.
